Mr. Calderone (Charlie) is the founder and President of the firm, and a 40 year veteran in the elevator industry. Educated at the Mechanics Institute in 1956 and New York University in 1961, Charlie began engineering elevator systems with Westinghouse Corporation and later embarked on a sole career as an elevator design consultant, encompassing a broad range of major vertical transportation projects across the USA. For more than 40 years, his vast expertise in the public and private sector has included work with building owners, architects, and government authorities. With a "hands-on" approach Charlie is involved in the day-to-day design and management of Calderone Associates' vertical transportation projects. He is a New York City Elevator Agency Director, and is QEI Certified by the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities to perform elevator system safety and code inspections nationally.
